The year is structured into learning periods. Each period combines explanation, demonstration, guided practice and project-based work, so your child understands what they are building and why it works.

Year structure / modules

Four learning periods from fundamentals to final project.

The year has a total of 28 lesson days, divided over four periods of 7 lesson days each.

Period 1

Advanced electronics and microcontrollers

  • Deepening Arduino and ESP32 knowledge

  • Functionally using WiFi and Bluetooth
  • Improving and debugging code
  • Basic automation

Period 2

Robotics

  • What is a robot?

  • Testing, calibrating and improving

Period 3

Bluetooth, internet control and automation

7 lesson days
  • Understanding Bluetooth control
  • Internet control in broad strokes
  • Difference between local and connected control
  • Robotics automation at a child's level
  • Small control tests linked to engineering

Period 4

Smart robot system and final project

7 lesson days
  • Designing a smart robot system
  • Integrating Bluetooth/internet control
  • Building a prototype
  • Integrating robotics, sensors and automation
  • Presenting the final project

Project examples

Projects that make technology visible and understandable.

The exact assignments can be tailored per group to level, pace and available lesson time. Examples include:

  • a robotics assignment with motor control
  • an automation project with a sensor and actuator
  • an ESP32 project with WiFi or Bluetooth where appropriate
  • a Bluetooth/internet controlled robot at a child's level
  • a prototype with a designed part
